Anyone know of a shortcut which I can use to open a link in the background. In Opera its Ctrl + Shift to open a link in a new background tab but in IE the same shortcut opens the link in a new tab at the front.
Any ideas would be great -might just be a setting I cant find.

Excellent, works a treat. Dunno why I didnt try it in the first place. I'd tried just shift and click but didnt think about Ctrl.

A usefull shortcut in IE7 is Ctrl+Shift+Enter, it's very similar to Ctrl+Enter. You need to go to Tools/Internet Options, on the General tab click the Language button. At bottom right of screen there is a box labelled Suffix: - type co.uk
If you enter bbc and Ctrl+Shift+Enter it will add the http://www. before and .co.uk after giving http://www.bbc.co.uk0
