Thanks lemon tree.
Being paid weekly definitely has it's disadvantages.
I think I need to build a month's worth of funds into my account somewhere along the line to help. I literally live payday to payday at the moment because every week there seems to be a direct debit coming out.
Although I'm not sure whether to prioritise that over paying down the debt?0 -
I would prioritise building a buffer and emergency savings over the debt. The exception to that is the Vanquis due to the very high interest rate and any arrangements you have made currently. The priority should be to make your budget work and get yourself to a position where you are not relying on credit and the debt is gradually coming down and to minimise interest. As your debts all seem to be defaulted and at 0% there should be no interest. Being paid weekly is what seems to be throwing your budget out. Having a savings buffer will help that.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. I have a feeling you're right about it throwing off my budget enthusiasticsaver. Once Christmas is over I'll start a new pot to build a buffer. I think by February a couple of my weekly paid debts should be clear so it shouldn't take too long.
Food shop done for the week. £33.75 plus bus fare. Slightly less than normal but I have so much stuff in the freezer that needs using.
Because I went to a couple of different shops the revolut card rounded up and siphoned off some spare change so have £2.71 in that pot.... Every little helps!0 -
Surprisingly for a Thursday it was an incredibly low spend day. Mainly because I had to work (yay overtime) Only bought milk using the change in my pocket.
Tomorrow is payday, so another little amount off the debts.0 -
Another £45 paid off debts.... Must be payday
Last big sky bill came out this morning as well, because of switching my broadband it's going to be just half of what it is now, the broadband bill will come out at a different time of the month which will make things easier.0 -
Well done on a bit more off your debt0

Thanks lemon tree.
It's quite satisfying writing it all down and actually seeing the numbers decrease0 -

Too true, it's often the only thing which keeps going and on track0 -
It certainly seems that way lemon tree
Well work was a little more full on than I appreciate on a Saturday. On the plus side I'm too knackered to spend anything so my bank balance is safe for another day0 -
Had a nice little gift this weekend. Had forgotten about a little bit of money in a spare savings account, but I got a statement yesterday.
It really was only a little bit. £45. But I spent last night deciding what to do with it.
Up until last week I probably would have just spent it on something I really didn't need, but this morning I paid another little bit off my gas and electricity debts.
I did keep £5 of it, but that's another £40 off my debt total so I pretty happy with that.0
