Here's an interesting article on the cost to run Teslas, with some being taken to 500,000 miles.

17,000 miles per car per month.

I think that might skew the total cost away from depreciation when compared to the costs of doing 10k/year in an £80k+ list-price car, don't you?

The cheapest Model 3 finance deal illustrated on Tesla's website is £471/mo, £5,652/year for a 10,000 miles PCP over four years. That's 56p/mile before you've even asked a meerkat about insurance or replaced a bald tyre. And 9.6p/mile over that.

If you want to bring depreciation in (and it's certainly a cost at such high mileage), can we just assume it'll be the same for any similar cars?

Except for one minor detail - comparing apples with apples means a much higher purchase price currently.

And over the next four years, as that margin closes as EVs become more mainstream, that's going to inevitably mean steeper depreciation.
