Recommendations wanted - luxury toilet seats?

I stayed at a Shangri La hotel recently, and for some reason, the toilet seat in the bathroom really impressed me. It had this solid, luxurious feel, and closed gently but firmly.
It's very odd because I've never paid much attention toilet seats before. We refurbished our house a few years ago and replaced 3 toilets - but I opted for very cheap seats on the whole because we were spending so much money elsewhere.
One of our toilet seats now needs replacing. The Shangri La experience was an eye-opener, and I'd really like to replace the damaged seat with a really top quality one - but I'm not sure where to start.
Can anyone recommend one?

Random conversation, but if I'm allowed a favourite loo seat, it's this one, but it's also my favourite loo. Price is for the seat only.

I don't know what your seat is like right now, so it's hard to know what might be acceptable.
Which shangri-la? Any promotional shots of said toilet?
If you're buying a posh loo seat, you'll want to ensure it fits your toilet. Higher end manufacturers will deliberately make loo seats to fit certain toilets. It's how they get to charge moreEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

How about a smart toilet seat that's heated and washes and blow dries too?

I think there are even versions available which play music.0 -
@Doozergirl, that slimline seat is very nice, but wouldn't work with our bathrooms.
It was the Shangri La on Borocay, decoratively almost identical to a couple of other SL's I've stayed at in the region. After a search, I managed to find this pic by another guest on TripAdvisor. Looking at it now, the seat does seem to be a slightly unusual size, so presumably designed to fit that specific toilet.

Yep, that definitely looks like it's been designed for the toilet.
Do you know what toilet you have? You can buy standard size, upgraded seats. Maybe go and hang out at a local plumber's merchant or consider a whole new toilet for the full luxury experienceEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
