How did you find out about the free camera case. I didn't see anything like that when I ordered by camera a couple of days ago. Thanks.
Within Amazon, select the Electronics & Photo Catergory, then Camera & Photo, it will display the offers there, they sometimes have more than one offer, click again on Camera & Photo (or refrest the page) to revolve through them all, today they have three (free case, Canon cashback offer and a Sony cashback offer).
If you search for the product, you will only sometimes see the offers, only if it's mentioned within the page.0 -
A560 still available from Amazon (not marketplace). If they haven't sent the A550 you could cancel it but reorder before midnight tonight, and include the case.
It was despatched a couple of days ago and they won't let me have the free case because I didn't click the link when I placed the orderStopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
Please, anyone, what is the basic difference between the A550 and A560? The look absolutely identical.Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0

Has this offer now expired and if so is there likely to be a repeat in the near future?
Many thanks.0 -

A560 has ISO1600, 'face finder' focussing (I think), longer vidoe mode and can handle a higher capacity memory card, as well as the larger screen.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
Still waiting for my A560 from Amazon. Their delivery has gone right down hill recently. My previous order for a camera never arrived at all and was returned to them 3 weeks later as undeliverable even thought it had the correct name address and postcode and there was no attempt at delivery.

Mines arrived this morning, via Royal Mail, although the parcel had TNT stickers on it.

My A560 arrived this morning from 7dayshop - they now have stocks in after an initial email saying they were on order.
I haven't had chance to play with it properly yet, but it seems a very good bargain. The screen picture appears slightly grainy as compared to my previous Nikon Coolpix 4100, but it is a much larger screen on the Canon.
Don't know yet what the pictures are like when downloaded to the PC or printed, but it does have the face finder focussing feature, is 7.1 megapixels against the Nikon's 4 megapixels and feels slightly more solidly built (the battery compartment door on the Nikon broke, which meant I had a brilliant camera but had to hold the batteries in place with one hand!!!!).
Good spot. Thank you OP.0 -
Mine arrived from Amazon on Tues evening. It was a present for my Niece's birthday and was dispatched on Fri so I hoped to get it before Tues. Unfortunately it never arrived on time and it was only after we returned from her party that we found the courier had tried to deliver in the evening and left it at a neighbours. I don't know who the delivery firm was but it wasn't even trackable online.
Delivery used to be much better from Amazon so I am very disappointed with the service.
The camera is quite good for the price but when using the auto mode indoors it kept putting the ISO at 200 which produces very noisy pictures. My older 2MP Canon produces much cleaner pictures so don't believe the marketing hype of more Megapixels are better.
Have sent the form to Canon for the cashback, does anyone know how long they take to process it?0
