Am i being impatient.

We are due to complete next friday and my solicitor cant tell me when they are exchanging, get a series of random excuses or the question never gets answered.

They have told me they usually exchange a few days to a week before and they havent yet requested the mortgage money as they usually do that 5 to 7 working days before completing, it seems like its all going to be a bit last minute.

  • Having totally the same issue! Due to complete next Friday, were mean't to exchange yesterday, but it's transpired that our vendor's vendor is now moving into his new build instead of rented, and there's now mortgage paperwork outstanding! Very stressed about it as our mortgage is soon to expire and we need to give notice on our rented flat :mad:

What makes you think you're "due to complete next Friday"? If there's a reason why you can't exchange yet, that's also a reason why you can't complete. So what's outstanding?
