Sounds like you and your son are lovely people.
We must not loose sight of what is importaant in life - caring attitudes, helping each other out and having time for each other. Money isnt everything.
Best of luck to all of you.0 -
Well done you - there's not enough kindness in the world but you and your son made it a bit better.0

Yes I will do my best for him. Unfortunately, I dont have a spare room or he could move in. Will definitely find out what hes doing for Christmas. I do generally look out for him but there are a group of friends and all the boys have a kind of social network where all the families give him a welcome.
That's lovely. It does break my heart to think of these kids fending for themselves without anyone to point them in the right direction. Even at my age I miss my Mum when I need advice, god knows how I would have coped at 17 without her, living alone.:A

I think you've got a cracking lad there tes.
He has little himself but is willing to give and share what he does have.
You can't get better than that. You've brought up a selfless lad. You should be proud of him and yourself.0 -
What a lovely son you have. Keep an eye open for any charity shop bargains for the other lad too. That will end up cheaper than replacing your sons wardrobe ultimately.0

Yes, sorry In Search Of Me, I certainly didn't mean the post itself was funny.....sorry if it sounded that way."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Ive felt sorry for him since I first met him earlier this year when he became friends with my son. He's very quiet and doesnt say much though he can be direct. There was one day when my son was going round his house and I said to him what about your dinner and this lad said, dont worry about him, Ill feed him. So I have a bit of a soft spot for him..The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
