Is it too late to set aside?

Hi there! Thank for you looking at my thread, I need help regarding a CCJ I received from Excel parking in 2016. I have already read the newbie section and require further advice as I am still deeply confused.
So the story goes like this, I believe this parking fine is from 2015. I have quickly googled it as soon as it turned up and everywhere on the internet I have been advised to ignore it as they cant do anything. Letters kept coming and coming, including threats and so on which i was told to ignore and do not reply to them.

now some time has passed and me and my partner are now trying to get a house mortgage, one of the mortgage advisors asked me to get a credit report done to then which i have discovered i have a ccj.

I have called the Northampton county court for more details which then they gave me a reference number and a contact nr for BW legal.

when i called bw legal they said they arent dealing with this case anymore and they cant do anything, they gave me a reference nr for Excel parking and thats it.

Now Im not sure what to do as the CCJ was issued in 2016 and in 2/3 years it will expire. I have read a lot of previous cases on here and they all relate to wrong addresses. My address and all was right, i feel like its my fault i chose to ignore it. The only thing is I do feel like the parking fine shouldnt have been issued as it was a KFC car park which had no signs or anything stating that you need to pay to park there.

I now feel like I have left it too late and dont really have a strong defence in order to get this set aside ? Please all advice will be deeply appreciated!

Thank you

If you had the paperwork from court and chose to ignore it then it's game over unless you have very good reasons for ignoring it.

Did you ignore a court claim, or was it sent to an old address?

If the latter, yes you can get it set aside after a hearing, using our advice.

If the former then what on earth were you thinking?!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
