Problems Abbey Credit Card

in Credit cards
I applied for an Abbey card in September, hoping to cash in on the £50 cashback in supermarkets until January. Abbey have written to me telling me I have been accepted, and will shortly be receiving details, but to date have had nothing. I have sent them several stroppy Emails and they have replied telling me they are looking in to it, and finally I have now received a letter from their Credit Card Servicing re 8 week holding period on my complaint and that I may now contact the Financial Ombudsman if I cannot wait for their response. I can wait, and will contact Abbey and the Ombudsman in due course to tell them to shove it as its hardly worth while now, however, I am concerned that I will have to go through another credit check with another provider and wondered if this will now affect my credit score. I only wanted the card for the cashback, I wish I'd never started! Does anyone know how it works if you apply for cards within a short time of each other?

have you asked for a duplicate of your credit agreement to be sent to you?
Have you checked they have the right address details?
Best to call them - they respond to calls bestAuntie Savingsgirl 24/9/06 :j0
