*** tv advice please***

can anyone recommend a 37" lcd tv for no more than £550.
i have sky but not got a hd box, but i do have also a 32" bush lcd 1366 x 768. not all that impressed with the picture but at £345 it is ideal for tv room and son's playstation!!
would i be better off getting 1080 spec - is there much difference when not viewing thru a hd sky box?
and what other numbers should i look for (contrast etc) that seems to be quoted in ads?
many thanks for your help in this.
tony.

Contrast ratio is very important as you've found out with the Bush which has an abysmal one. Don't look at anything with one less than 3000:1. Screen response time is a red herring. Stick to Sony, Panasonic, Samsung, LG and Philips.

If you've not got Sky HD, a PS3 or Xbox 360 - in other words, something hi-def to use on it - save your money and don't bother. Standard definition TV looks poor on a HDTV compared to a standard TV.
