My wife noticed Vanquis have been charging out £6.95 per month to her card, she stopped it and asked for a complete refund. Vanquis said she agreed to this, but she never has, we asked for proof and nothing has come, they are still not agreeing to a refund, any ideas, Financial Ombudsman or small claims court? Anyone got a refund??

Definitely not small claims court.

Ask them again for evidence, then FOS if need be.

She could up the ante a bit by submitting a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act asking for all personal data they hold about her, and in particular any evidence of consent to sign up to this product.

Could you enlighten us as to what they were charging for? What is this 'Value saver club'? How long was she paying this monthly amount? Did she benefit from this in any way?
