Taking over energy supply as a new tenant

My Granddaughter is moving to rented accommodation. The agent managing the let has sent an email saying the supply is with spark energy at £63 a month. Does she have to take this as it is or can she change the supplier?
Thank you.
Thank you.

Both!
Has she has to take over the existing supply. She can then immediately switch.0 -
read meter on day one and contact Spark to get account in her name.
Search the market for cheaper option and instruct new supplier to switch.
When given the switch date, give Spark and new supplier new readings on that date for Spark's final bill, and to set up billing with new supplier.0 -
Also, it doesn't necessarily mean her bills will be £63 per month. Her usage may be lower or higher than the previous tenant.0

She has to pay for any usage up until she switches. But she's perfectly entitled to switch whenever she wants to.0
