Energy Club

My energy supplier for the past 12 months is now due for renewal so I've checked on the Energy Club for a new supplier but seem to be blocked. I've chosen a new supplier but when I try to click onto it it's coming up with 'Switch in Progress' it seems as though the supplier for the last 12 months didn't inform the club that all had gone through and now I'm stuck. I don't want to stay with this supplier as I'll be moving house in the next few months and don't want to go on a standard tariff until I move or pay an exit fee which is what they want me to do.

What can I do? Do I have to go direct to a new supplier or can The Energy Club do something to correct this error?

Remember, you'll lose your cashback if you switch so soon.

My switch was still in process from August 14th emailed them and they replied that they had unlocked my switch as it was 12 weeks but SP had not informed them yet. I asked if i would still get the cashback if i moved again, abet with same SP, and they said that i would still be entitled to get payed for the August switch as soon as SP payed them.

I emailed MSE and received an automated reply stating that they'd be in touch within 2 working days, that was almost a week ago and I've still heard nothing.
I did receive my cashback 3 months after I switched, it's now almost 12 months and I need to switch supplier before I'm put on a standard tariff.
Looks like I'll have to go direct to my chosen supplier

Are you sure you received cashback for this particular switch?

If so, that may be why it is taking longer than expected to resolve your issue, as your account should be automatically updated/released when MSE pays you cashback as soon as they get paid.

Yes, I received the cash back on 24th January this year, 2 months after I made my first payment. Obviously something has gone wrong somewhere and I seem to be limbo at the moment.
