We have now had a Zanussi engineer inspect the machine (not arranged by AO). He has stated it is not faulty and this is what it should sound like!

We are still not happy with the machine due to the noise it makes.

How should we go about getting AO to collect and refund.

They have been made aware from day one that we are not happy with the machine.

You have plugged it in and used it. It's now well past the 30 days (even assuming that applies if you use the machine). It's not faulty, apparently. I don't think you have any legal recourse.

You just don't like what you bought. I can only suggest that you sell it secondhand and buy a replacement.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Short term right to reject doesn't include the presumption that the goods didn't conform to the contract.

You could hire an independent appliance repair company to look at the machine, if they state a fault is present then send AO a letter advising them you are rejecting the goods on the basis of the report you have and you will file through small claims for the cost of the machine if they fail to refund within 14 days.

If it went to court the judge would have to decide which report was the most accurate based on the experience of the two people who gave the reports.

My view is these people come out and fob you off, keep pushing back is my advice if you believe the machine is faulty.

Any videos on the AO site, Youtube or manufacturer site showing the model working without these problems?

Very, very basic I know, but have you checked with a spirit level that it's absolutely true.

Interesting,we also owned a Zanussie washing machine that vibrated the house down when it spun.It only last just over 2 years and the drum failed.

We replaced it with a cheap Indesit, quite spin and it already lasted longer than the Zanussie did.

You should have purchased a Zanussi. They are far more reliable than Zanussie.
