I'm on a 2 year fix with Yorkshire Energy, currently paying about £20 a month more since my last 3-year fix but that was the state of the market at the time.

The last bill shows that if I swap to their variable, I stand to save £150 a year.  Even with exit fees of £60, that's a £90 saving.
I went on the fix to try and ride out any Brexit uncertainty - I know no one has a crystal ball with Coronavirus, but presumably it's still worth me moving away again?

Check whether exit fees apply if you switch tariff but stay with YE.

I would check those savings for yourself before doing anything. I get some very misleading "savings" estimates from my supplier and have saved a packet by checking for myself and ignoring the supplier's numbers.

They do, I checked before I switched.
This site has saved me a fortune :money: ...it's also cost me a fortune!

Yep, their FAQ states the same.
    Probably leave as-is for now.

I've just switched to Eon, but have just found out they run a hard credit check on you (which they did not tell me) and my credit score has gone down. Is this common?

    Welcome to MSE.

When you applied to switch to Eon, you would have been asked to confirm that that understood and accepted Eon's terms and conditions. It states in there that a credit check may be made.

Although I'm not sure there are many respectable places that will provide credit without carrying out any credit check.
