Mattress purchased but now it's cheaper

Hello
Just purchased a mattress about one week ago online for a grand and delivery is due this Friday but I just seen that it's now reduced by £100 to £900
can I just cancel and get a refund and then re order it or is it not as simple as that?

Or you could phone them up and ask them if they could reduce the price for yours.0

Would you be as quick to offer them the extra cash if the price went up?
Prices change all the time, it's just tough luck.
Yes in theory you can cancel, and re order, but if you did that to me I would honestly refuse to re sell to you. You would be marking yourself out as a problem customer.0 -
I emailed them asking if this is possible0

I will do actually but they don't open till 9.30am. I emailed them late last night and was going to give them until midday and then give them a call0

You could if I did not order the new one before cancelling the old one.
I of course would look at myself as a prudent customer who does not want to throw away money0 -
Sending a sad tweet with the company tagged in is often pretty effective. Let them know how much you're waiting to receive your new mattress, but you were gutted to find that it had been reduced just days later you placed your order (don't forget the sad face).0

They kindly agreed to refund me the £100 difference0
