Problem logging onto government gateway

Hi,
We're trying to let HMRC know the value of an estate. We enter the user ID and password. It looks like it's thinking about logging us in but then just stops. No error messages or anything. We're just getting nowhere and we don't know what the problem is.
Does anyone have any ideas of what the problem mighg be?

Is there any way you could have left a character out somewhere? It sounds like part of the log in info is missing.

Have you tried using a difference browser? Or just waiting until tomorrow and trying again?

I went round and round in circles at the weekend trying to get this sorted. Eventually managed to set up the Government account, but could I then transfer it to opening up the HMRC one - no. Had to give up.

So today I telephoned. A lovely lady could see the first account so was able to talk me through and get me onto the HMRC account. It sounded as though she'd done this many times before.
