ANPR TICKET MSE - Different Car shown in Photos

Hi Guys
How would you fight this,
Got this through the post today, my car is shown entering a Motorway Service area at 5:10pm, I grabbed a quick coffee and left.
As you can see from the photo, my car is fairly distinct, it is Electric so has a fully enclosed front with no grille.
Then there is a photo of a car leaving the same service area at 4am the next morning, the photo showing the reg is fairly unclear but looks like mine, yet this is a different car, a Saloon car by the looks of it with full black grille.
Should I just submit the appeal back saying different car check the photos, (If they take it to court I have a witness who will confirm I was at home in bed time photo taken and nobody else has access to the car)

It's really not a good idea but it's your call.0 -
Second one looks like a Mercedes to me.0

You may have grounds for making a significant complaint under GDPR. This is why I'm saying hide your registration plate. The less the ppc know the better at this stage. Keep your powder dry.
In saying that it's your call.
Which ppc is this?0 -
Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP after the election, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work.
Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.
Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -

Good old CP Plus. Idiots.
Personally I wouldn't bother with an appeal. I would go directly to the BPA with a complaint. I would also complain to the DVLA.
For the BPA complain how dare their member falsify pictures of your registration plate onto clearly a different car. Throw fraud and GDPR breach into the mix and see how they squirm.
Complain to the DVLA along the same lines but add in how dare they release your data without checking first. Threaten both of them with the ICO and see what happens.
I would go to the ICO too.
Wait for other opinions and if you do this post up your complaints before sending.0 -
Yes go with this.0

Sorry just wanted to wait till I heard back,
Had already put in an appeal through their own system before seeing the comments above, so waiting for the reply on that.
They emailed back yesterday saying my appeal had been accepted and charges cancelled and apologised for the mistake
Thanks for help and advice everyone.Over 100k miles of Electric Motoring and rising,0
