Exercise bike or cross trainer?

I've been looking at this throughout lockdown and was ready to get anything but it seems all the stock sold out before I could get there (apart from the top end equipment).
Looking again now (payday!) and there seems to be some stock available.
I was happy to go with an exercise bike but my Wife prefers the elliptical so we'll probably go with that. Our budget is £400 possibly more if it's a good enough deal, but options are limited.0
