First Time Buyers Savings

My partner and I are looking to buy a house together within the next 12 months.

I have been saving into a Help to Buy ISA for a long time now and he has been saving into a Lifetime ISA.

Is is possible to use both the H2B and the LISA when we buy and how would this work?

Thanks in advance for your help.

This question has been asked many times before.

Assuming the property you are purchasing qualify to receive the H2B and LISA bonus then you are fine to use both. Make sure you use a solicitor who is able and willing to work with your H2B/L ISAs. (most will but worth double checking before appointing one!)

    Good luck.

    We did exactly that.

It's worth noting that the LISA can take longer to withdraw from than the H2B - at the time that we bought, our conveyencer hadn't dealt with LISA before as they'd only been around 16 months. In hindsight, we should've been prepared to start the LISA withdrawal process sooner.
