If you are hiring a skip it would be best to remove all big fixtures i.e. bathroom suite, doors before bothering to strip walls. That way you won't go over the hire period for the skip and you will avoid finding all your neighbours rubbish in your skip before you get a chance to fill it up.

As if you get desperate you can put wallpaper in black bags and take a trip down to the local dump.

Oh and you paint ceilings, walls and woodwork in that order.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)

I would replace the external doors and windows before you start on any internal fittings or decoration otherwise you end up cleaning a lot.

New internal doors can be hung before the new carpets go in but you have to be prepared to take them off to plane them as it's hard to judge the height of the carpet. I definately wouldn't hang them until you've stopped shifting stuff about or you're likely to damage them with bits of kitchen worktop banging around.

Clean anything last. Leave the uPVC until the dust stops - most likely when the carpets are down, tbh.

We tile our bathrooms before fitting them as it makes lovely neat lines everywhere because you don't need as many cuts in the tiles though.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
