Hi just looking for some advice. Recently bought a house about 2 months ago, the house is mid terrace and we had a level 2 survey done all came back okay besides few things. Nothing major.
however recently whilst taking the bins out through the side passages (between our house and the one next door) there are some rather large cracks between our house going from one house to another.
Any ideas on what the cause is? As these cracks wasn't there when we have the level 2 survey done. Back in june 19' the cracks are not going down into either brick work of the house that I can see. I do have photos but because I am a new user so I am unable to post the links. So you'll have to remove the space after the "s" in the Https
Any advice much appreciated thanks :j

Are you sure those are new cracks. The old saying in the trade is that there are 2 types of concrete. Concrete that is cracked and concrete that is about to crack. When it's got rebar in it for suspended floors etc the rebar holds the cracked pieces together. Movement joints can help large areas of concrete as can fibres.0

Hi thanks for the reply! I checked the photos from the survey at the same place and on the photos they took there was no cracks and no mentions of those cracks on the survey. Unless they happened from June till September ( when we moved in)
Driving me mad, wish I never googled crack's now, it's got me thinking then House is moving or subsiding. Specially since there is a dip from the front hallway going into the kitchen where it then levels itself out.0
