I thought Spark Energy went bust quite a while ago?
They did, they got taken over by OVO.
We had one of these - I assumed Spark were the pre-existing provider we had to take over.
Went with them for a few months to get a smart meter installed. Customer service is incompetently awful, and months later we're still arguing over final bills.
Once upon a time I was with OVO, who were absolutely fine. It's night and day different from Spark.
The Landlord is liable for the council tax when the property is empty and you would be completely surprised at how many tenants forget to inform the council tax people that they have moved in and are now liable to pay.
All the letters demanding payment arrive at the rental property addressed to" the occupier " so are ignored by the tenants !
