After 10 years with same supplier, I am searching anew Gas/Electric.

I am told by CTM that the calculations are based on similar properties, EG next door (Same type of properties) goes to work 9-5 but I am retired (therefore I use more). The savings is because I use what she uses £73). that gives me a lower value per month to transfer. However the KWH hour is higher than my quoted saving. My cost is therefore £90+

I therefore will not be saving on existing rates, but the standard rate our of contract. If this is true, be aware your budget per month goes UP. Or have I got this wrong?

The majority of people on here know that the ONLY way to compare energy costs is with an accurate annual kWh usage, anything else is nothing but a stab in the dark. Also many of the comparison sites use the OFGEM mandated method of calculating savings by basing them on the do nothing once your fixed term expires meaning they are based on the supplier standard variable rates after that point, again something the majority that use this forum already are well aware of.

If you are coming to the end of contract what you are currently paying is a bit irrelevant, you are unlikely to find anything at that price anyway, so just put in your actual annual use and the sites will list in price order. You then just pick the one that you like the look of..

OP - the general thought these days is that you should not go for dual fuel but rather have different suppliers for gas and electric.

Have you got ACTUAL consumptions for your gas and electric ?
