Saving to overypay lump sum off mortgage

I am with those who suggest changing to repayment, you will be better off in the long term.
I took out a endowment in 1989, changed to repayment in 2001, I kept the endowment going as well
The payments were higher, but when the mortgage ended I received over 48,000 that I had paid into the endowment.
If I had kept the interest I would have had to come up with 13,000 (as my mortgage was 60,000)
Best thing I ever did, because there was no way I would have had that money to pay the balance that was owed.0
