Another bright morning, it did start to rain again late yesterday afternoon, but nothing like Thursday. Still a lot of flooding although our lane has cleared.

We are out for lunch today. The village young wives put on a tea for the over 60's in June. They could not do it this year as the hall was badly damaged by fire 12 months ago. The work was finally finished a couple of weeks ago, so the are replacing the tea this year with a Sunday lunch. Looking forward to it, one less for me to have to cook. I am finding it very difficult just now. prepping the veg does me in!!

I have turned the place upside down looking for a lergish piece of cardboard to mount something on. I had it a couple of weeks ago, no where in sight now!!

I am going to have to do something about our bed,a new mattress at least, may be later when we get to decorate the bedroom I will get the metal bed I want and the new mattress can go on it. I hate mess and things being upside down, but needs must, the sitting room could also so with a coat of paint. I would really like to strip off the lining paper thats on it and replace it with blown vinyl, at least some of the lumps and bumps will not be so noticeable.
