CapitalOne Credit Builder Card

  • I needed a contactless card (before realising my Co Op non contactless could be put on Apple Pay) so applied for the CO, got approved and received it with the low £200 limit, not a worry for me because I wanted it as an emergency back up if abroad in a restaurant and it a meal would not have come to £200. I do try and use it once a month and have been able to up the limit to £550 mainly so it looks better(???) on a credit report. I’d really like an over £1000 limit in future, to buy plane tickets, rather than paying on my bank card without the safety net that CCs have. I pay off by DD every month and would even with the plane ticket. I think my first charge showed on or around the date I used it, so not on 1st of the month and I think one month or two I did not use it at all and then the next time I did the payment date changed again. So not sure how or when the report goes to a credit report company like Experian.
