Adding sky email to gmail

Hi there,

I have been able to pick up my sky email through gmail without any problems for ages, as I have more than one email account.

All of a sudden gmail stopped checking the account - I have tried deleting and re-adding the account using the instructions on my sky account (yahoo), but it comes up with an error.

I have changed my sky email password - it lets me log in directly via sky, but won't add to my gmail account.

Is anyone else having issues please?

You need to generate a new mail app password and use that to sign in with, not "your" password for your Sky account.

This is not unique to Sky, this is a Yahoo Mail change.
