Hello,
I have received an invoice today (9/11/2019) from CEL for allegedly parking a car at Green Man Pub & Hotel in Wembley on 2/11/2019. I have no idea how these clowns can get this so wrong, but the parking space was booked through JustPark and the car was legitimately parked there. The thing is I can only appeal to these clowns in writing and have to include all relevant supporting evidence - which I have. This seems time consuming to me, so I am thinking of writing a letter stating if they want proof the car was properly booked, then they will need to pay a fee. What do the good people on this forum advice?
Thanks and Regards,

Please read the advice in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1 to save you going off half-c0ck and getting this wrong.
Have you complained to the hotel? Were you a guest/customer of the hotel? What's the link-up between the hotel and JustPark? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Without any risk of revealing driver details, as far as I know, JustPark is used as a platform to book the parking at the hotel as it was within walking distance of Wembley Arena and the driver and partner were going to a concert. The car was booked into the parking from 5.30 pm to 11.55 pm. The contravention was allegedly between 17.36 and 23.16 on the same day. My guess is CEL is outsourcing the booking and reservation to JustPark and so it relies on JustPark to send it details of the reservation which are then matched against their ANPR. In this case somewhere along the line, there has been some breakdown. I know not the reason why and where, except for the fact that car was properly booked on the day and yet I received an invoice. I have contacted the Pub/Hotel and their advice is to get in touch with JustPark. I will probably contact them and let them sort this out.0

You won't be posting any letter to CEL. Appeal in time, though, or they will sue.
By all mean complain first to JUST PARK but diarise to appeal to CEL within the 4 weeks allowed, to avoid being sued.I will probably contact them and let them sort this out.
NEVER leave it for a third party to handle. Therein lies a court case from CEL!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Ok, thanks. I have lodged a complaint with JustPark and already received a response from them that they will lodge an appeal with CEL. It takes upto 14 days for them to reply so well within time for me to appeal after this. As adviced, I will also diarise my own appeal to CEL within 28 days of PCN issue date (6/11/2019). As it is a postal only appeal, I will do that before the month end. It is unfortunate I am not able to claim cost from them for their error!0

How did this progress?
It would be good to have some feedback, especially now that you have started another thread seeking guidance.2 -
Agh Sorry - I forgot this one! I complained to Justpark online and they appealed to enforcement agency. The ticket got cancelled. No action required from me apart from several email exchanges - Justpark were rubbish with their communication - but that might be just due to time it took for the enforcement agency to reply. The notification of cancellation came on 31/12/2019.2

Just goes to show that online booking of spaces via third parties is missed by parking firms, who try it on with a £100 PCN anyway. What a scam.HardDoneBy62 said:Hello,

Perhaps a warning on the pub's website about PPC infestation might be in order. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.2
