Amazon locked me out

After suspicions activity a week ago. Amazon has locked my account
Someone had made 3 purchased on my account.
I phoned to cancel the purchases and they refunded the money taken from my card.
However I am still locked out awaiting an email from them.
How long does this normally take for the account to be un-frozen

  • Don’t expect it to happen quickly, my wife’s account was hacked but oddly nothing was fraudulently ordered, and we only discovered it after the hacker changed the password. This was weeks ago and she still does not have the account back.

    This has reminded me to chase Amazon yet again.
