Recently changed car insurance to Priviiedge. Now looking for Breakdown cover as mine's just run out. Notice Pru have an offer on for free Green FLag and its £95 cashback with Quidco...

Can i swap or are we tired into 12 month contract with insurance?

Cancellation terms vary from company to company

Most will charge an admin fee from anywere from £15-£100

On top of this their will be a cancellation premium, i.e you have to pay so many months to get out

For example mines is 100% in year 1 reducing 25% per year until there is no cancellation penalty

You would need to get your books out

Car insurance is normally an annual contract so if you've had the policy for one month then you'll probably only get 75-80% of the premium back.

The other downside to constantly changing is that it takes longer to accrue a full years no claims.
