County Court letter for parking at my own gym

Hi guys, I've recieved small claims track from the county court business centre (N149A Form) for mediation by Gladstone for both of their claims. I've heard this means that they know they will lose hence want to mediate - is this correct? What should I do next?0

No, this is N180 DQ stage as normal.
As shown in bargepole's 'court procedures' thread linked by me in the NEWBIES thread under the red heading 'KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN'.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Avoid mediation. In nine cases out of ten their claim has no merit and, if it gets to court, they lose. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

What happened when you complained to the gym manager with your notice of membership cancellation?
I'm no expert but that really doesn't look like a defence.
You need to look at the 17 defences linked in the NEWBIES and follow bargepole's guide to court.
You need to deny that the claimant is entitled to relief in the sum, or at all.
You also need,
Not the landowner and no authorisation (no valid contract) to issue charges or commence court proceedings.
Inadequate signage,
Deny that a contract was formed
and any and many of the other points from the other cases in the NEWBIES.
