Right of Way

I am selling my end of terrace house that has an alley that leads to my side gate and along to 3 neighbours back gdns. My Solicitor wants me to prove right of way as it is not on deeds. I have lived here for over 39 years with no access problems. What can I do to prove right of way and avoid even more costs. Thank you

You can make a statement to state that you have had unhindered access for 39 years. I am sure someone will be along shortly to tell you what that statement is called. The previous owner to the place i own now did similar for the access lane alongside my (now) home.
