Pure, noncommittal SIM only deals

Options
Hi

Is there a current mobile provider that offers a noncommittal SIM only deal?

I would like a SIM where I only pay for calls and data used.

I don't want to be tied to any sort of plan where you need to top-up with a minimum amount per month.

I'm not going to use the SIM for anything nefarious.

Can anyone help?

Most have these, look under PAYG, bundles are sometimes cheaper dependant on how much you sue of course

PAYG is often not obvious from the providers web sites and need a bit of looking for

Normally order a free SIM, then opt for PAYG

The days of OVP Virgin are long gone. EE finally killed my sim a year or so back.

The link posted suggests ASDA are the most friendly for receive only. No top up required and it will stay active for 180days, then minimum of £1 which if you use to only send one text at 5p per text will last you another 9yrs

Would O2 classic PAYG suit? It's a 3-2-1 tariff, i.e. calls 3p/min, texts 2p, data 1p/MB. You might have to make use of the phone every 6 months to ensure it stays active.

Three PAYG has the same pricing.

Three free Data Reward SIM works for me. 200MB data every month for free and PAYG calls and texts. Register and use some data every 6 months to keep it alive.
