Best Turkish Delight

No idea where to post this but it's a gift for my partner and her happiness is conducive to a healthy relationship (please move if wrong place)

Basically, she absolutely loves turkish delight. I got her some from M&S recently which was okay but a bit over-chewy and the flavours weren't that great.

So, i just wondered for those who love turkish delight, what in your opinion is the best of the best you can get?

(I live in a rural location so going to have to be something i can get online)

Tbh the best turkish delight I've had was purchased in turkey.

Theirs is typically quite light compared to the stodgy stuff that passes for it here!

Not sure if you can get it online though!

Kennedy's Chocolates (Orton, Cumbria) stock absolutely splendid Turkish Delight (as well as the best chocolates in the world in our opinion ). Their Turkish Delight is made in Turkey BTW.

I used to buy online real Turkish Delight the orange version was gorgeous. The soft chewy stuff that UK shops sell is not Turkish Delight! Google is your friend.



I am lucky as we have Xmas Market in Belfast and a stand sells the real stuff.

Would have thought the likes of Aldi and Lidl who do slightly more exotic fare would do the proper stuff. When I looked in lidl all they had was chocolate covered and non covered rose and lemon!!!!

I'm not a Turkish Delight connoisseur but my OH loves the stuff and I think has enjoyed this in the past - a different selection of flavours (apple, orange nad pomegranate) from the usual rose & lemon

I wasn't keen on the rose at first but the ones I tried in turkey were really mellow so more palatable. Definitely not my favourite though!

It's been a while since I've had any (don't buy it here due to the difference), but all this talk makes me want to book a holiday to stock up on that and the teas.

Mmmmm, Turkish delight <drools> It sounds as if I am in the minority as I love the rose flavour.
