  • i'm not too sure on orange's policy on reducing tariff but i know some companies have clamped down on this as a lot of people (please dont think i'm suggesting you did this) were getting the handset they wanted on a higher tariff just to get the handset they really wanted and then reducing tariff after a month or so. This has stared to cost mobile phone companies a hell of a lot as the price of handsets has gone up with all of the technology on them nowadays (people believe that we get handsets for free but thats not the case something like the n95 costs us well over £300)
I would contact orange and check what their policy on reducing tariffs is

Has anybody got any similar advice for Orange,
you can only lower after 9months and then only down by one level e.g. 35 to 30!

If a customer chooses to accept a downward migration move as part of a Best Plan recommendation the customer will not be permitted to move down any further under standard migration policy rules until they reach the end of their current contract or receive another Best Plan recommendation.
If a customer chooses to accept a downward migration move as part of a Best Plan recommendation this could affect the range of handsets that are available to them when they come to upgrade their handset at the end of their contract period.
When a customer migrates talk plan to their Best Plan recommendation they will lose any promotional offers or bundles associated with their old talk plan including text bundles. The customer will retain any loyalty line rental discounts associated with their old talk plan.
When a customer migrates talk plan they may lose inclusive benefits associated with that talk plan, including inclusive Orange Care, free Answerphone calls and free itemised billing. The new charges for these services will be included in the Best Plan calculation.
Customers will be eligible to move to a different talk plan between reviews but will be subject to our standard migration rules – see www.orange.co.uk/bestplan for terms.
