  • Monzo haven't taken anyones money. You're just another one not listening to advice and then making up lies to make yourself seem correct.

Or it may just be the perfectly poorly written law for monzo to hide behind and do whatever they like..

' we have lots of fraudsters, so we freeze lot of innocents peoples accounts' is no excuse.

You could argue that Monzo's AML systems are over sensitive, or just badly written, but what possible benefit to Monzo would there be for them to do this *on purpose*?

It's costing them money, it's generating bad press, it's losing them customers. It's not like they get to keep the money either - it's either seized by the police as proceeds from crime, or it's unfrozen and the customer gets access back.

"Do whatever they like" - why would they "like" to do this? Just for a laugh?
  • Oh look what's come out the woodwork. Shouldn't you lot be back on Monzos community where you can delete and hide the posts of anyone who says anything against monzo and their down right wrong behaviour?
Propaganda runs rife over there. Luckily mse allows opposing views

You're the newbie, if your credentials are to be believed.

MSE allows opposing views, and most of us are on here to help and learn from each other, but post rubbish and you can expect your views to be challenged.

....After a long delay at the ombudsman to close the case, with endless communications to and fro about the case, you may be just glad to put it to bed and not be up to taking it to the Courts, going through the same events/details for a second time.
    .....
Also, note that, ombudsman is immune from civil action for damages, barring certain exception (e.g. it has acted in bad faith or contrary to human rights).

I've used banks in countries where they don't have financial ombudsman, and must say seldom encountered any issues. When I had, they've been resolved promptly by the bank.

Rather be dead in a ditch than be seen with that micky mouse card.

The 'Earn 1% in Disney Rewards Dollars' seems attractive though, if i was in to Disney.

Since the spelling police are out in force on these forums. Who thinks it should be 'Disney Reward Dollars'?

    We hardly say:
    components reliabilities
    components failures
systems designers (this one -- is okay)

But 'Rewards Dollars' is acceptable?..Maybe it's just a U.S. thing. :rotfl:

It's grammatically correct, as far as I can tell.

They're "Disney Rewards" "Dollars", not "Disney" "Rewards Dollars" if that makes any sense.

If you were at a disney park and you were talking to your friend about the micky mouse card (she has the same card), would you ask her
    a) how many disney rewards dollars did you collect last month?
    b) how many reward dollars did you collect last month'?
    c) how many rewards dollars did you collect last month?'
