I expect footballers have that size of EF, though it would be on the small side if they followed the official advice and saved 3-6 months salary... I must admit, I've been pondering what emergency could possibly arise, if you had the ability to save that much in the first place. Humdinger x4

Hello, fellow debt-fighters
I am so, so glad to see the start of March and of course payday! However, this week has been hard. Husband is stressed, like really stressed at work. He works really hard, has an awful lot of responsibility and has recently had a lot more pressure piled on to him by his boss, who is being consistently unsupportive. I feel helpless really, as there isn't a lot I can do except try to keep a steady ship at home. Which I am. We've made a really solid start to March financially, MUCH better than last month when I wasn't very well and so it all went to pot. I think the debt is getting to him, as well as the slow progress on the house and the pressures of work. I've been looking for jobs for me, but he can only do his job as he has so much flexibility because I'm at home, and if I started anything at all it would make him less flexible, and therefore increase any pressure on him. Such a Catch 22!
To be honest, I think if we were sorted financially and able to make the most of his salary, he would be in a much better place. So this is all just extra motivation for me to get us sorted, but it obviously won't happen overnight!
I've made the most of a child free morning by getting rid of a load of stuff from the house, doing the weekly food shop (without children literally halves the cost) and moved the appropriate monies across in our St@rling account. Now I have 10mins for a quick lunch before picking up the mini-hurricane that is my 3 year old!
Happy Monday all!
