UK house quality

I've seen the cheap and tiny wood they use, it makes me to regret to buy an house every time...
I've built for a while, so I don't need to see 80 houses, in this way will pass another year to find the correct one, just to mention one logistic issue

Buy the worst house on the best street and then you can choose the quality of everything, And after doing the plumbing and Elect replace all the floor boards with 22mm plywood screwed down.0

Guys, crying ...

I found a decent quality house, a 4 bedroom and 2 other big guest rooms, plus 3 bathrooms which one is ensuite, big garden, garage and 2 parking spaces, up north London of 50 miles.
500k BOOM :P
Now I get it, big houses are the only one decent quality, obviously a single person can't afford it, and it's not about salary (remaining in human terms) or credit score, it's just about the credit affordability of a single person, that as a principle is based on the salary, but it's not only based on that, it's also based on the national and local average...
Probably I may be able to find a big house with only 3 bedrooms and cut off 100k at least, but still is too much on the shoulders of only one person, I should rent part of it, and I really don't think to put some stranger inside my brand new house, very disappointing...
I'm thinking to buy in another country at this point, in the end the sterling for foreigners was useful always for its strenght, not because is nice to live here.0 -
Yes, value for money is very poor in many parts and it is a problem... there are nice houses if you can afford them!To err is human, but it is against company policy.0
