Hi A year ago I succesfully claimed PPI. Company phoned yesterday saying they paid too much. I asked to write to me and said they couldn't access my address because of data protection. I asked to call back another time thinking scam. Now really worried they will want money back. Has anyone got similar calls?

The money should have been paid by the creditor, not a claims company.
But if you have been overpaid, obviously you will need to repay it. Ask them for the evidence.0 -

data protection would not apply as they are the bank/lender and have your details and you are fine to disclose your details as you like.
A firm would not ring if they said they had paid too much. They would write.
I would not be surprised if they turned around and said could you pay them in vouchers or some other weird money transfer method.0 -
Thank you.0
