Cladding worries

We’re at the top of a chain that is ready to go apart from one problem at the bottom of the chain- the people selling their flat have been told by their mortgage company that they won’t issue a mortgage until a fire safety report has been issued regarding their cladding. I’ve googled this and I’m concerned. Can anyone reassure me? I’m so concerned that our chain will collapse. I understand the need for safety and respect that but wondered whether anyone can offer any positive stories?

Nobody here can tell you how long it will take to get a report. You are right to be concerned.0

If the cladding isn't compliant, they prob won't get a mortgage. So it depends what the report shows I suppose...
As to how long it will take to send, who knows. Bit like surveys or Info Packs - sometimes they're sent next day, sometimes a month later.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0
