ESA and PIP

Two questions:
Between reassessments for ESA, it is better to send the complete evidence again or just extra letters one received? That is if one comes to reassessment, all evidence or the extra paper evidence?
I'm planning to apply for PIP. I understand this is a different benefit, but does this effect ESA somehow with ESA people?

If older evidence is still relevant I would send it again however old evidence will in most cases carry less weight as the assessments are not about medical conditions but about how you are affected by them now.
PIP and ESA assessments are completely separate and the outcome of one does not affect the other. Sometimes an assessment report for one may be useful as evidence for the other depending on the content. However that would be your choice on whether to use it, the DWP do not, to the best of my knowledge, cross check the reports.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. A relative of mine was on ESA & PIP.
He had an Medical Assessment for ESA. 2 weeks later the DWP stopped his PIP (referring to the ESA assessment) & then a month later they stopped his ESA.0 -
His PIP should not have stopped because of a work capability assessment because they are 2 completely different benefits, with different criteria.A relative of mine was on ESA & PIP.

It can happen but usually this is when the ESA report contains evidence that contradicts the reason for getting PIP. I just don't see how this could happen. Even if information in the ESA assessment was passed to PIP they would surely have to carry out a PIP reassessment before deciding to stop PIP - unless they believed fraud had taken place.It can happen but usually this is when the ESA report contains evidence that contradicts the reason for getting PIP. Apologies, I meant that an ESA assessment report can sometimes trigger a PIP reassessment and vice-versa. It's not very often it happens as the criteria for the two benefits are different though there are some areas of overlap.I just don't see how this could happen. Even if information in the ESA assessment was passed to PIP they would surely have to carry out a PIP reassessment before deciding to stop PIP - unless they believed fraud had taken place.
Edit to add: It has been known for one report to be looked at when deciding on the outcome of the other benefit. Again I don't think this happens very often but it certainly was the case in the early days of PIP as the DWP acknowledged this was happening.0
