PPI - Deceased Father

Hi All - I'm hoping someone on here can help / advise. In short / timeline of events:

2017 (I believe): My father applied for PPI in with BarclayCard. He was rejected at the time despite feeling he was entitled (following some research).

In 2018 he passed away.

In August 2019: My mother received a letter addressed to my father from BarclayCard suggesting they had made a mistake and he was entitled to an amount. Enclosed was a cheque for that amount.

My mother took it to Barclays, who called BarclayCard. They advised we sent a letter to BarclayCard explaining the situation, along with death certificate & identification for the cheque to be re-issued under my Mums name (who inherited my fathers estate).

We did this in August (by recorded post). Despite following up.. we've had no correspondence or acknowledgment back.

Any idea on the next step(s) I can take to move this forward?

Thanks in advance,
Tom

They probably didn't get the letter.

Call or write again, but don't use recorded delivery. You want the letter to et to the right place and recorded takes it out of the normal path.
