What is DirectX Diagnostic Tool

I had this pop up when I turned on my computer 'DXDiag has detected that there might have been a problem accessing the system information the last time this program was used. Would you like to bypass the system information this time.

I have no idea what this is as I have never seen it before. Should I be worried about it? The last thing I did on my computer before turning it off was use Drivermax to update one of my drivers (don't know which one). Is it likely to be connected to that?

A secret tool that is designed to help you troubleshoot problems when they occur on your computer. The tool is called DirectX Diagnostic and with it, you can troubleshoot and identify problems that are related to audio, display, video and other multimedia applications and features especially when you are running some advanced games on your computer. The tool also allows you to find problems that occur when you are using audio and video players on your Windows 10 machine.

I think this is the issue you need to be concerned about (my bold), not DXDiag.

If Windows needs a driver update, Windows will update the driver. There's no reason at all to use a driver update 'utility'.

You can always check the official website of the company that put the PC together to see if you can download the drivers.
