Octopus statements: annual consumption forecasts
Straight a way, this is not a moan.
I send them my meter readings monthly, and on each of the statements received in return gives a forecast of projected annual consumption.
I, however, have failed to fathom how the forecast figures are calculated. Using the consumption estimates at the time of joining, for instance, with further adjusting for the new info seems not to work.
As I said not a moan, but more out of interest and curiosity, is there a person out there, who can make me more informed?

They say they get historical property meter readings 40 days after customer is on supply with them, regular meter readings submitted should make such forecasts more accurate, forecast figures could just as easily be based on the way the industry generally makes such consumption forecasts, I havent noticed my forecasted consumption figures changing despite regular meter readings submitted.0
