  • ive just started to fill empty freezer space with plastic bottles of water. the idea being that full freezers are more economic and the frozen water will help keep the freezer cold. im not sure if it does any good yet.
my other new idea is to put a washing line in my greenhouse during the winter with the door open. hopefully any sun will help dry the washing and if its raining i can still dry "outside" so i dont need the tumble dryer. i havent tried it yet with clothes but i dried a pair of soaking wet trainers which i had cleaned by dunking them in a bucket of water a few days ago and they were ready to wear in 36 hours. thats not bad considering how wet they were.

I'd advise anyone interested in a mooncup not to be too daunted by this post and to do their own research.
There are two sizes available, so you're statement that there is a one-size fits all approach simply demonstrates that you've not done your research[...etc.]

---Thank you for this. You've basically covered what I was going to reply with. :T

Well it saves loads of money and is much better for the environment. Plus it's relevant to a high proportion of site users.

So yes, definitely the right forum. Why not?

'Out of the blue' Oohshiny was apparently replying to your post made in 2007 - it hadn't been discussed in this thread since.

There is a long thread in this part of the forum specifically about the Mooncup https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/196357

I was merely pointing out that the high proportion of people interested in discussing this subject might miss the post altogether as they wouldn't look in this thread.

  • What kind of energy saving bulbs should we buy to replace our halogens in our downlighters? We have just moved here and they are all over the house!

Put Solar Cookers into Google, Zara, and information is on the left and sellers on the right.
The Centre for Alternative Technology might help will look a link and post seperately. Payback time would be quite a bit if you bought. Can be made easy enough tho.

This is exactly what google want you to think! sellers are not on the right, sponsored ads are on the right. There's a big difference there!
