Are these windows 10 keys available on Ebay for a few quid genuine?
Will they work and continue to do so? Why are they so cheap?

No need to start yet another thread on this subject. Use the search function.
If you feel uncomfortable about purchasing one, then don't.
Not worth the agonising over spending a couple of pounds.0 -

he's not agonising over spending 'a couple of quid', he asked if they are genuine and will they work. if you have no answer to give to the question why take the longer time to type what you did. this is a money saving forum afterall.1 -
These are most likely OEM keys, that will only work once and get locked to the hardware first activated on. You can find more details in this article:

Clearly the joke is in you pal as you obviously haven’t read the MSE handbook!! Allow me to bring you up to speed...
If someone asks a question, don’t bother answering it but most certainly don’t bother moving on to the next thread so soon either. Instead just tell them to keep searching and they’ll eventually find their answer.
Job done. You’re now a qualified MSE’er.
Though it does beg the question - what happened to the first guy who asked a question. Maybe I should search for the answer to that.0 -

The seller I bought mine from vanished from sight only a couple of weeks later, maybe Microsoft brings it to the attention of eBay and they delete the account? In any case carefully read the description and feedback, prices vary quite a lot.0 -
Are you sure you need an actual windows 10 license ??
A windows 7 license will work perfectly well to activate windows 10 if you have one of those0 -

I bought mine a while back of eBay and the same thing happened - the seller was goner about a month later. Has worked fine though. My only tip here is to download the software direct from Microsoft so you know it is a legit, non-modified version and then activate it with the key provided from your seller.0 -
There is also the fact that technically buying OEM key and using it on your own PC is violating the OEM license, making the copy of Windows just as illegal as one downloaded from torrent etc.
How (un)likely is it, that someone will come knocking on your door about it is a different matter. Just bear in mind that it would still be an essentially illegal copy.0 -

You could say exactly the same thing about your reply here. You provided no answer either.
The difference between us, is that I already provided eBay product key link to the OP on his other thread.
So why he is starting another thread to ask about it, escapes me. Waste of time over £2 or less.0
