it seems that I am not the only one having a problem with spaces between paragraphs, is there a fix?

Are you typing directly into the thread, or drafting first in a word processing programme, then copying and pasting to the thread?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Both, I have been using Apache Open Office for years with no problems. Then my son used the computer for on line banking and the trouble started.

Do you have the trouble even when typing directly into the forum?

What are you using - PC, laptop, or iPad (or similar tablet)?

I always end up with two lines between paragraphs and have to edit the post to remove one and that is typing directly into a box on the thread. I did complain about it (or at least ask the question) some years ago but not even the courtesy of a reply.

Odd, I don't get that issue, only typos. So it's not happening to everyone.

Yes, typing directly on to the thread and C&P, using a lap top. I do not have a smart phone, perhaps in ten years.

When I was using Firefox browser for a short while I found the same issue. Using Chrome browser I don't get this issue.

I think if you press Shift+Enter rather than just Enter then you may avoid the double lines. (I think that's what I did when I used Firefox).
