Oil leak, please help!!
I have a 2004 Peugeot 206 petrol 1.4ltr engine. I have an oil leak on the car but in can't find where its coming from. It's not coming from the sump and doesnt look like its coming from the rocker cover.
I really dont know where it could be coming from.
Could someone please help, thanks

Possibly try a UV dye and torch? These are available as a "kit". Not expensive. Make sure it's for engine oil and not refrigerant.
The whole engine needs to be externally clean anyway even if checking without dye.
Small bottle added to sump and then, preferably when it's dark, use the torch to check for any fluorescence.
Turned my oil pink for a short time.:cool:0 -
Peugeot are prone to gasket leaks , look at the back of the engine near the bulkhead. It's not easily visibleEx forum ambassador

Take it to a garage for them to take a look at it, as I cannot see either where the oil is leaking from.0

Get it up on a ramp, and get underneath with a torch - when's the MOT due? The source will be a lot more obvious then.
How bad a leak is it?0 -
Steam clean the engine and when dry run the engine and observe!0

Crankshaft oil seal would be favourite0
