Help Please!

Hey!

I have read the newbie thread and other threads and to be honest I am confused, please help

I tried to attach the picture of the letter that came through but being new it won't let me its a parking charge. I was using the Starbucks in the retail centre and was in there for the full amount of time I was there.

Complain to Starbucks (or possibly more likely the managing agents of the retail park), ask them to intervene. Send the initial appeal template found in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1. I thought both those basic points are covered in the early advice in the sticky.

    Which parking firm?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

As above, complain to the landowner/retail manager/CEO and send the appeal template in blue from post 1 of the NEWBIES if it isn't cancelled. Do not miss the appeal deadline and do not reveal the driver's identity either on here, to Starbucks, or to the scammers.

All this is explained in the NEWBIES.

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

No they haven't , they have named you as lessee and as day to day keeper , not registered keeper , the lease company is the registered keeper

Do not reveal who was driving

As this is a lease vehicle , scroll down to the bottom of post #1 of the newbies faq sticky thread , read the Edna basher advice

Appeal using a lessee template , as lessee (day to day keeper)

At this stage ukpc have no Idea who was driving , keep it that way , no blabbing

In any case , complain to Starbucks as a legitimate customer and insist on a cancellation , use the royal we if you have to , no need to say who was driving , complain as a customer
